Abstract


This study aims to develop a learning module for fine arts extracurricular activities for early age students at Institute of Play School Makassar. This research is a development study which is carried out by developing the matters of local culture of South Sulawesi and the character values listed in the program of Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter. This research uses a 4-D model developed by Thiagarajan et al. with restriction that consists by three stages of development: (1)Define, (2)Design, and (3)Development. Research data are collected through observation, literature study, interviews, documentation, and practical questionnaires for teachers, as well as validator questionnaires for material expert and media expert. Data obtained through a questionnaire is then analyzed to build the conclusion. Based on the results of the practicality questionnaire, the module is in the very good category with an average percentage of 95.56% while the validation test data obtained results with a percentage of 94.35% for material eligibility, and 95% for media eligibility. Thus, based on these results, the module is said to fulfill practicality and declared valid for use in fine arts extracurricular activities.
